Jakarta Acting Governor, Heri Budi Hartono led a ceremony about handling traffic jams at Silang Monas, Gambir, Central Jakarta, Monday (10/24) morning.
Thank you all for being able to remain solid with the ranks of the police
The ceremony was attended by hundreds of the Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) from provincial to sub-district levels.
On that occasion, he instructed the Dishub to maintain solidity with the army/police in overcoming traffic jams in the capital.
Acting Governor Monitors Semanan River Embankment Construction"Thank you all for being able to remain solid with the ranks of the police, especially Traffic Directorate (Dirlantas), and army, thus people hope that it can reduce traffic jams, can run well and as expected," he expressed.
He went on to say that high rainfall in Jakarta and its surroundings is predicted until February 2023. Therefore, the Dishub was ordered to always coordinate with the Jakarta BPBD together with the Polda Metro Jaya Dirlantas, as well as provide information to the public earlier regarding points prone to inundation and flooding.
"That is, providing information earlier is better and ahead of time via TMC and official channels thus people can choose to continue working at the office or WFH. If they work, they can choose an easier access road to reach the office," he continued.
He hoped that the synergy between the Jakarta Provincial Government, especially Dishub, with elements of the army/police could be maintained. Moreover, they must also continue to run their duties in the field humanely
“Hopefully in carrying out duties, you must have manners in enforcing discipline. So, stay disciplined in giving directions on traffic jams," he closed.
